Top Gun Security Academy in Houston, Texas announces the addition of the IPMBA Security Cyclist Course to it training course offerings.  This highly sought-after course has been developed to meet the requirements of the rapidly-expanding private security sector. It is designed for security personnel from a wide array of facilities, including corporations, colleges, casinos, amusement parks, hospitals, shopping & entertainment complexes, sports facilities, and cities which utilize citizen patrols and/or parking enforcement personnel.

The goals of the course are to produce confident, competent, and effective personnel who operate in a safe manner and to reduce departmental liability. Well-trained security officers are less likely to cause property damage or injury to themselves, suspects, or third parties. And if injury or property damage is sustained, the possibility of a failure to train lawsuit is reduced.

Units of instruction include:

• fitness and nutrition
• vehicular and technical cycling
• basic maintenance, equipment, and security patrol procedures

Much of this demanding course is dedicated to hands-on, practical exercises.

Arthur started his career in Law Enforcement/ Private Security 15 yrs ago. He is a graduate of The Houston Community College Police Academy (2001) where he made the Dean’s List. He became a Certified Texas Peace Officer. Arthur was hired by the Hempstead Police department where garnered the expertise of a Bike Patrol officer. He graduated the IPMBA Bike Certification program, the nation’s leading bike training organizations for police, ems, and security around the world, in 2003. From there Arthur took his bike skills to the private sector riding for several private security firms. Arthur’s wide range of expertise in the field of law enforcement and private security work allows him to utilize his bike skills to educate the public on ‘Public Bicycle Safety.

As a recent graduate of the IPMBA Instructor’s Certification Program, Arthur can now instruct and teach security cyclist the skills necessary on becoming a safe and positive influence for their respective agencies as well as in the communities they serve and live in while on bikes.

Arthur’s wide range of professional experiences as allowed him to hone his skills with dealing with public (children, adolescents, adults, city council members….ect) while on bike patrol. As a Mortgage Broker, Arthur educated perspective first time home buyers on how to purchase their dreams home with little to money down. As a Juvenile Probation Officer with the City of Houston, Arthur was able to reach troubled youth with various programs such as D.A.R.E., which also utilized certain bike programs to reach youth in the community in order for theses adolescents to become better citizens while transforming into young adults.

Arthur’s other credentials includes Private Investigator, Commissioned Security Officer with the State of Texas (PBS), and Security Sales Consultant.

Arthur plans to retire from Top Gun Security Services. Until then, he’ll be educated and training Security Officers on bikes for Top Gun Security Services as well as others in the profession.
